Job description

POSITION: Quality Control Specialist

Summary:

As Quality Control Specialist, you are responsible for performing a variety of duties required to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the Bank's deposit account applications and account documents.

Key Result Areas:

  • Responsible for the daily analysis of data entry and file maintenance for all deposit system applications and accounts to ensure adherence to policy, appropriate authorization for changes when necessary, and accuracy. Escalate discrepancies, errors, potential issues, and make recommendations for resolution. Maintain effective controls by ensuring operational functions are performed in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. When required, prepare and send confirmation of changes following established policies and procedures.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure the integrity of deposit account documentation. Coordinate the tracking and reporting of missing and incomplete documents to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, the Customer Identification Program, and regulatory standards. Provide weekly reporting of issues using the Pending Document and Operational Summary Reports and work closely with business lines to address questions and resolve outstanding issues. Review various reports to identify and resolve errors and, when required, ensure proper documentation was obtained.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies for Operations department and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with departments across the bank while ensuring duties are performed according to established policies and procedures and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Adhere to controls and risk management measures and prevent operational losses.
  • Prioritize and complete tasks and assignments within assigned deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school education.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Retail Banking with Bank Operations experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to include both written and oral.
  • Computer skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams etc.
