Role Overview

The quality control specialist is responsible for assuring the integrity of account/customer information in the Core Processing System. The specialist will review and maintain operations procedures, ensure compliance with regulations, and verify data accuracy across various functions including monitoring interest rates, reviewing maintenance reports, and updating SOPs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of banking rules/regulations and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and review monthly interest rates for exceptions.
• Review ATM/Debit Card maintenance reports, dormant accounts, and account maintenance activities.
• Review and update quality control SOPs annually.
• Verify CD notices, deposit transfer setups, interest rate changes, PDO setups, and product type changes.

Secondary Duties

• Act as backup to IRA/Operations Department.
• Assist in departmental requests as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and understanding of internal controls and banking regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree and 1-2 years experience preferred.

• Knowledge of electronic banking channels and customer technology support.
• Organizational and communication skills.
• Strong mathematical and reasoning abilities.
• Physical ability to perform job functions, including lifting up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment
