Job summary

Industria, Inc. is a Chicago-area construction firm delivering general contracting, design-build, civil, and project management services on complex federal projects.

We are seeking a dual-hat Quality Control Manager / Site Safety and Health Officer to lead daily QC and site-safety programs on assigned projects, performing field inspections, documenting findings, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with EM 385 and OSHA.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of construction QC and site-safety responsibility on federal or public projects.
• CQM-C certification completed within the past five years.
• OSHA 30-Hour and EM 385 40-Hour training within past five years.
• Current OSHA HAZWOPER, NAVFAC ECATTS, CPR/First Aid credentials as required.
• Broad knowledge of construction materials, methods, inspection practices and safety.
• Proficiency with construction management platforms and standard software.
• Strong judgment, punctuality, diplomacy and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QC and Accident Prevention Plans per contract, EM 385, OSHA.
• Administer three-phase control process with preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings.
• Perform daily field inspections and prepare QC/safety reports; drive corrective action.
• Maintain submittal logs, inspection/testing records, and safety documentation.
• Review drawings/submittals for conformance; coordinate with project team.
• Verify incoming materials match submittals and manage storage and release.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, commissioning, and documentation of systems.
• Lead weekly QC and safety meetings with Superintendent and team.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for AHAs, lift plans, training records, and safety docs.
• Collect toolbox talks, equipment inspections and safety-meeting records.
