Job summary

INX International Ink Co. in North Carolina seeks a Quality Control Manager to lead the QC program for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods, ensuring production aligns with established standards.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory experience
• Previous laboratory experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrate good leadership skills.
• Possess good math and analytical skills.
• Previous experience within the Ink Industry (plus)

Responsibilities

• Develop and institute new testing procedures, documentation, and policies for QC and for proper training of all QC technicians.
• Assign responsibilities and schedules flow in conjunction with Branch and Customer requests.
• Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and reliability expectations.
• Formulate and maintain QC objectives and coordinate with production procedures with plant managers.
• Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure control over materials, facilities, and products.
• Conduct laboratory tests independently and interpret results.
• Compile and analyze test information to determine operating efficiency and diagnose malfunctions.
• Confer with scientists or engineers to conduct analyses and develop nonstandard tests.
• Recommend measures to improve testing procedures and use of equipment; maintain records.
• Ensure care and maintenance of all lab equipment and instruments.
• Plan and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.
• Participate in or direct resolution of QC problems encountered by customers and investigate complaints.
