Job summary

INX International Ink Co. seeks a Quality Control Manager to lead the QC program across a facility. You will direct testing and procedures, manage a team of up to 15 technicians, and ensure products meet established standards while coordinating with production and customers.

The role emphasizes developing procedures, analyzing data, and driving reliability while maintaining cost controls and training staff in quality practices. A strong background in lab operations and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Previous laboratory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrate good leadership skills and strong math/analytical abilities.
• Ink industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and institute new test procedures, documentation, and policies for QC and for proper training of all QC technicians.
• AssignResponsibilities and specific work or functional activities to QC technicians, and schedules flow in conjunction with Branch and Customer requests.
• Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
• Formulate and maintain QC objectives and coordinate objectives with production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
• Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
• Conduct laboratory tests independently, interpret results, and oversee additions or products currently in-process.
• Compile and analyze test information to determine operating efficiency and diagnose malfunctions.
• Confer with scientists or engineers to conduct analyses, interpret test results, or develop nonstandard tests.
• Recommend measures to improve testing procedures and use of equipment; maintain testing records.
• Responsible for disseminating technical knowledge of raw materials, finished products, processes, and equipment to QC to achieve objectives.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of all lab equipment and instruments.
• Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.
• Participate in or direct resolution of QC problems encountered by customers and investigate complaints.
