Job summary

Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead the QC department, supervise 5–10 technicians, and ensure equipment quality exceeds client expectations. The role involves staff development, policy improvement, and cross-department collaboration in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include training, scheduling, client support, and coordinating repairs while maintaining safety and SOP adherence.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school or GED or equivalent.
3–5 years’ professional AV, rental, or event production experience.
Strong technical knowledge of AV gear with troubleshooting experience.
Basic networking and PC/Mac OS skills are a plus.
Willing to work weekends, after-hours, and on call as needed.
Ability to troubleshoot and manage time in time-sensitive situations.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

Maintains Rentex equipment quality standards as established by Product Managers.
Determines training needs and professional growth plans for QC staff.
Configures personnel schedules to meet shifting business demands.
Facilitates client tech support phone calls.
Evaluates damaged gear and determines repair/parts needs.
Delegates tasks throughout the QC department.
Assists in employee reviews, discipline, and onboarding.
Assists in developing new policies to improve efficiency.
Manages multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Assists other departments when necessary.
