Job summary

General Tool Company is seeking a seasoned Quality Control Manager to lead the QC organization, spanning inspection, metrology, training, and calibration. You will set the bar for quality and build a high-performance team that ensures every part meets specifications.

This leadership role emphasizes ownership, continuous improvement, and strategic direction, with opportunities to shape processes, mentor inspectors, and partner with manufacturing to drive product excellence.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in quality disciplines, preferably in manufacturing.
Strong supervisory experience leading a technical function.
Proven track record of quality improvement projects with measurable results.
Deep expertise in inspection and metrology — SME for related activities.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the entire Quality Control organization — inspection, metrology, training, calibration, and the people who make it all work.
Develop and execute a department strategy and long-term vision for QC.
Build and develop the QC team; manage training program end-to-end.
Ensure product conformity is verified early and containment of nonconformances.
