Job summary

Pure Flavor is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee the QA team in a refrigerated facility in Michigan. The role ensures all vegetables and products meet customer and regulatory standards, while leading inspections and staff development.

The supervisor will implement quality methods, monitor compliance with GMP, HACCP, and PrimusGFS, and coordinate with multiple departments to resolve quality issues. This position requires strong leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college/technical training preferred.
• Experience in QA or food safety in produce industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, Health & Safety, HACCP, and PrimusGFS program.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP software (FAMOUS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the quality team, including performance management, scheduling, and staff development.
• Establish quality methods, plan daily tasks, and supervise execution to meet goals.
• Address non-conformances with relevant departments and implement corrective actions.
• Lead initiatives for root cause analysis, control charts, and quality improvement.
• Supervise quality control tasks for incoming, in-transit, and outbound products.
• Coordinate with commodities, sales, shipping, production, and food safety on quality issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and company data.
