Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. seeks a Quality Control Lead to perform material QC tests (sand/rock) per ASTM and AASHTO standards in a multi-site setting. You will conduct lab and field sampling and maintain QA/QC documentation for state and customer specs.

The role requires at least two years in materials QC, proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Google apps, and the ability to travel and work overtime. Join a safety-focused team building North America’s infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED; two years of post-secondary technical education or course work in sciences that deal with laboratory functions.
• This is a great entry level position for a Geology, Chemistry or Earth Sciences graduate.
• Experience working in varying weather elements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ongoing lab and field sampling. Testing to ensure material produced and shipped meet State, project and customer specifications.
• Conduct in-depth problem-solving, data and trend analysis and troubleshooting, reporting results associated with aggregate material performance.
• Assist with documentation of material control plans and material performance data, procedures and project-specific quality control.
• Performs some service, repair, and calibration of laboratory and field testing equipment.
• Update Quality Control databases and spreadsheets and provide report summaries or analyses as needed.
• Train new employees within the region on QC policies, processes and guidelines.
