Job summary

Southern Hobby Distribution, LLC. seeks a Quality Control Lead to oversee picking, packing and shipping activities and support delivery quality initiatives. You will supervise QC tasks, verify items with RF guns, and ensure accuracy of orders and paperwork in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience working in a warehouse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Control efforts of the Production team.
• Picked. Use RF gun to check picked items for completeness and accuracy.
• Packed. Use RF gun to spot-check that packed items meet a standard.
• Shipped. Observe shippers to ensure correct measurement, weighing, and service selection.
• Support security, communication, and documentation procedures for WILL CALL customers.
• Spot-check shippers to meet shipping standards; tickets and labels must align 100%.
• Ensure shippers verify shipment method (next day air, overnight, etc.).
• Ensure outbound orders maintain integrity.
• Ensure completed orders have the correct sticker applied.
• Run end-of-day reports and ensure standards are met.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping at picking, packing, and shipping areas.
• Promote a clean-as-you-go mentality.
• Assist with quarterly and yearly inventory.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Other duties as directed by leadership.
