Job summary

Shasta Beverages, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the 2nd shift (12:30pm to 11:00pm) to uphold HACCP, food safety records, plant audits, and mock recalls. You will perform microbiological testing on ingredients, packages, and beverages, and provide data to ensure product quality.

You will collaborate with R&D on new product launches. The role requires hands-on QC testing experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to analyze quality data and trends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years hands-on work experience in the carbonated soft drink industry preferred.
• Experience in quality control testing procedures and sanitation of beverage equipment with a clear understanding of blending, product attributes, records, yields, etc.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and various reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of cleaning agents and applications, external, internal, cleaners, and sanitizers.
• Document and follow procedures per the frequency guide and standards.
• Fill out batch reports, calculate batch variations, attributes, and other data required on batch reports.
• Measure and follow proper mixing procedures and evaluate batch quality.
• Troubleshoot line processes and take corrective action as needed.
• Prepare batch tanks for batching, sanitation, and odor/taste testing.
• Support pest control program documentation and implementation.
• Assist supervisors in resolving Quality Control issues and tracking quality trends.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State quality standards; test materials and products.
• Collect, analyze and summarize process quality information and trends.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and other Office tools.
