Job summary

Shasta Beverages, Inc. in Miami, FL is seeking a Quality Control Technician responsible for all quality programs, HACCP compliance, and maintaining food safety records.

You will perform microbiological testing on ingredients, suppliers, and finished products, and report results to ensure high-quality beverages. You will document batch data, follow standard procedures, and support plant audits, pest control, and line QC actions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years hands-on work experience in the carbonated soft drink industry preferred.
• Experience in quality control testing procedures and internal and external sanitation of beverage equipment with a clear understanding of blending, product attributes, yields, etc.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft business applications and various reporting software.
• Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Understands and can follow all OSHA required training.
• Must be 18 years or older
• Favorable background and drug exam.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible Full Time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in organizational service areas, as required by duties.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of all cleaning agents and applications, external, internal, cleaners, and sanitizers.
• Document and follow all procedures in the frequency guide and standards.
• Fill out batch reports and calculate variations in batch sizes, attributes, and other data.
• Measure and follow proper mixing procedures.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot batch and make corrections.
• Perform testing, evaluations, and documentation of results.
• Troubleshoot and take corrective action on the line.
• Prepare batch tanks for batching, tank rinsing, sanitation, odor, and tasting.
• Assist in pest control program documentation and execution.
• Support supervisors in resolving quality issues and improving efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State quality standards and test materials.
