Primary Talent Partners has a new 12 month contract Quality Control Laboratory Technician opening with a pharmaceutical client operating out of Millsboro, DE.Potential for contract renewal or direct-hire opportunities are dependent upon performance and company budget.

Pay: $22 - $24/hr;W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Schedule:Mon - Fri standard business hours; 40-hour work week


Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Lab Technician II to join our team responsible for performing advanced laboratory testing on veterinary biological products. This role requires working independently within a highly regulated environment, adhering to strict government and company guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of microbiology, aseptic technique, and analytical instrumentation, along with a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a variety of laboratory tests following established SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Independently perform aseptic techniques for sample handling and testing.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of test results in QC systems.
• Set up, operate, and clean technical lab equipment.
• Perform sequential analysis and ensure compliance with testing standards.
• Handle and manage hazardous, universal, and/or infectious waste according to safety guidelines.
• Conduct complex mathematical calculations, conversions, and formulations.
• Report deviations or unusual results promptly to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and adhere to PPE requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and support cross-checking of records and data.

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Proficiency in aseptic technique and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
• Experience with analytical instrumentation and biological assays
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication

Preferred:

• Experience with SAP and/or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Familiarity with environmental monitoring (EM)

Environmental Working Conditions:

• Work is conducted in both indoor and outdoor environments, including refrigerated areas
• Regular physical activity including standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, and pulling
• Use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, aprons, and face shields
