Job summary

Bloom Engineering, a Wabtec Company, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to verify materials, weldments, coatings, and finished products meet all quality requirements across the manufacturing process. This role emphasizes meticulous inspection and documentation to ensure safety and compliance.

You will inspect incoming materials, perform in-process checks, and conduct final inspections, maintaining records and supporting corrective actions with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school or manufacturing cert preferred.
• 3–5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications; welding inspection experience a plus.
• Ability to read GD&T, welding docs, BOMs, and quality procedures; material traceability knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Incoming material inspection and verification of certifications and traceability.
• In-process inspections during fabrication, assembly, and painting.
• Final inspections prior to shipment; verify configuration and labeling.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation; report nonconformances.
