Contract Industrial Tooling (C-I-T) in Richmond, IN is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of weldments and assemblies, ensuring customer specifications are met. You will read blueprints, document findings, and coordinate with departments to implement corrective actions.

This full-time, on-site role requires 1+ years in quality inspection, experience with measuring tools, and a strong focus on safety and accuracy. Prior welding environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of quality inspection or equivalent training.
• Experience in welding manufacturing environment a plus.
• Experience using a variety of inspection equipment and procedures, including tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face shield, gloves, PPE, etc.).
• Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspects in-process and final weldments and assemblies to ensure specifications are met.
• Approves in-process production and communicates adjustments to the appropriate manager.
• Documents inspection results and logs in the quality database.
• Maintains measurement equipment and verifies accuracy.
• Reads blueprints and instructions to understand quality expectations.
• Determines disposition of inspections and tags per procedures.
• Prepares and submits reports to the Quality Manager.
