Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support structural steel fabrication and industrial construction projects in Phoenix. The role emphasizes visual and dimensional inspections, documentation, and collaboration with production and project teams to uphold quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in QA/QC for structural steel, familiarity with AWS D1.1/D1.8, and proficiency with measurement tools.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of quality control or inspection experience in structural steel fabrication or related settings.
Experience in QA/QC inspection for structural steel in basebuild and industrial construction.
Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.8 welding codes and reading fabrication drawings.
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and documentation tools.

Responsibilities

Perform visual, dimensional, and quality inspections of fabricated steel components.
Verify conformance to project specs, shop drawings, and industry standards.
Document inspection results and corrective actions.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and project teams to resolve quality issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and training on quality standards.
