Job summary

JCM Industries, Inc. is seeking a QA Inspector to join the Operations Team. The role focuses on visual, liquid penetrant, and ultrasonic inspections, plus leak testing, to ensure fabrication conformance to codes and specifications.

You will support welding tests for new hires and recertifications and participate in daily production meetings to uphold quality standards. Candidates should have at least two years of QA experience, a current ASNT certification or ability to obtain it, and

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Two years of QA experience.
• ASNT certification or ability to become ASNT certified in visual inspection, liquid penetrant inspection, ultrasonic inspection, radiographic film interpretation, and leak testing methods.
• Proficiency with office software applications including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual inspections, liquid penetrant inspections, ultrasonic inspections, and leak testing and/or fit checks of fabrications to ensure conformance to codes standards and specifications as required.
• Attends daily factory production meetings in the place of the lead inspector when the lead inspector is unavailable or out of the office to keep a quality perspective with all supervisors in the fabrication facility.
• Conducts welding tests as needed for new employees and when recertification of welders is required for job specifications.
• Monitors welding procedure qualification tests in process to ensure that samples welded meet requirements of codes and specifications.
• Performs receiving inspections of materials procured from outside vendors for conformance with codes, standards and specifications.
• Evaluation and documentation of materials used for Industrial, AIS and Domestic fittings for conformance with required standards.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
