Job summary

JCM Industries, LLC in Texas is seeking a QA Inspector to join the Operations Team. The role focuses on visual, liquid penetrant, and ultrasonic inspections, plus leak testing and fit checks to ensure fabrication conformance with codes and standards.

The position requires ASNT certification (or the ability to obtain) and at least two years of QA experience, with knowledge of codes and strong proficiency in office software.

Qualifications

• ASNT certification or the ability to become ASNT certified in visual inspection, liquid penetrant inspection, ultrasonic inspection, radiographic film interpretation, and leak testing methods
• Knowledge of Code requirements and acceptance criteria
• Demonstrated proficiency using office software applications

Responsibilities

• Performs visual inspections, liquid penetrant inspections, ultrasonic inspections, and leak testing and/or fit checks of fabrications to ensure conformance to codes standards and specifications as required
• Attends daily factory production meetings in the place of the lead inspector when the lead inspector is unavailable or out of the office to keep a quality perspective with all supervisors in the fabrication facility
• Conducts welding tests as needed for new employees and when recertification of welders is required for job specifications
• Monitors welding procedure qualification tests in process to ensure that samples welded meet requirements of codes and specifications
• Performs receiving inspections of materials procured from outside vendors for conformance with codes, standards and specifications
• Evaluation and documentation of materials used for Industrial, AIS and Domestic fittings for conformance with required standards
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

• Education/Certification/Licensure: High School graduate or equivalent required
• Training and Experience: Two years of QA experience
• Knowledge of Code requirements and acceptance criteria
• ASNT certification or the ability to become ASNT certified in visual inspection, liquid penetrant inspection, ultrasonic inspection, radiographic film interpretation, and leak testing methods
• Job Knowledge: Demonstrated proficiency using office software applications, including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and relevant facility software
