Job summary

Stryker in Irvine, CA is seeking a Quality Control Inspector III to perform advanced inspections and interpret engineering drawings to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

In this role you will act as a trusted technical resource, drive consistency and continuous improvement across the inspection team, and support GDP and NCR processes in a fast-paced medical device environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Quality Control experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FDA QSR, ISO 13485, GMP, GDP, or equivalent).
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Proficiency using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and vision measurement systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective problem-solving and prioritization skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and finished product inspections in support of manufacturing operations and production schedules.
  • Conduct advanced and non-routine inspection activities, including first article inspections and special quality requests requiring interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Utilize inspection equipment including vision measurement systems, calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and other precision measuring devices to verify product conformance.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the inspection team by providing guidance, troubleshooting inspection equipment and processes, and promoting adherence to quality standards.
  • Support training activities, Digital Data Sheet specification reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review inspection documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and execute containment and disposition activities for nonconforming materials.
  • Partner with Quality, Production, Warehouse, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues and maintain product flow.
  • Prioritize daily activities to ensure timely completion of inspections while maintaining compliance and product quality standards.

Overtime schedule, Mon – Fri, 3:30pm – 2:00am, some Saturdays available

What You Will Do:

As a Quality Control Inspector III, you will perform advanced inspections, interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and support critical manufacturing decisions to ensure product quality and compliance. What You Need

  • Experience with vision measurement systems such as MicroVu, Keyence, SunPoc, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in the medical device, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • CMM experience.
  • Cleanroom experience.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or providing technical guidance to peers.
  • Experience with tensile and torque testing.
