Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Mixing Room Operator to operate production mixing equipment for bulk drug and cosmetic product solutions. The role requires following SOPs/Product History Records and adhering to cGMP practices, with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include line setup, material verification, FIFO rotation, HMI operation, cleaning, disassembly/reassembly, data entry, and collaboration with engineers and coordinators to improve efficiency while maintaining safety and

  • Set up and ensure clean status of Mixing production lines.
  • Verify license plates and release materials for production.
  • Perform FIFO stock rotation and reconcile product after production runs.
  • Operate HMIs for basic troubleshooting of mix systems.
  • Disassemble/reassemble lines and perform cleaning tasks.
  • Assist with equipment repairs and cleaning validations/protocols.
  • Enter data into computer systems accurately (e.g., Flexnet).
  • Work with supervision to improve shift effectiveness and productivity.

Schedule: 11:00pm - 7:00am, Sunday - Thurs, OT as needed

Position Summary:

The mixing room operator is responsible for operating production mixing equipment to process materials into bulk drug and cosmetic product solutions. Must be able to follow work instruction sheets and or Product History Records and adhere to cGMP practices. Must have an eye for detail and be capable of accurately documenting production mixing methods in compliance with regulatory/legal requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for proper setup and clean status of Mixing production lines
  • Verify proper license plates and status labeling; set up and close open lots; verification that raw materials have been released for production prior to use.
  • Practice stock rotation per FIFO SOP
  • Reconcile product at the end of a production run
  • Operate HMI’s to perform basic trouble shooting and operating mix systems
  • Disassembly and reassembly of lines
  • Manual parts washing
  • Operate CIP’s and COP- Clean Out of Place on all disassembled parts in cop washer
  • Setups and changeovers on all lines
  • Work in a safe manner, and insure that production equipment is cleaned and sanitized in a safe working condition.
  • Assist technicians with minor/major repairs of equipment
  • Conduct self in a courteous and professional manner and follow the standard set by the Sage Culture.
  • Works with minimum supervision
  • Ensure compliance to the current GMPs throughout the manufacturing process
  • Work with department coordinators, lead persons, engineers, and departments to improve shift effectiveness, increase productivity, reduce costs and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Accurately enter data into computer and Flexnet
  • Assist in mechanical, and pneumatic failures of ancillary machines and repair in a timely manner
  • Assist engineering with cleaning validations/ protocols
  • Perform material handling functions including use of forklift, pallet jacks, lifting devices, cutting tools and related material handling equipment
  • Proficiency at clean room practices

Qualifications & Experience:

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+yrs of experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

  • Suggest and make modifications to equipment to increase productivity and reduce overall costs
  • Possess personal computer skills.(Excel, word)
  • Preventive maintenance work on ancillary equipment
  • Electrical/ mechanical experience

Physical Requirements:

Standing, Walking, Stairs, Sitting, Lifting, Carrying, Crouching, Reaching, Handling, Talking, Hearing, Visual Activity, Near Acuity, Color Vision, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.


$26.20/hr + $2.00 Shift Premium plus bonus potential and benefits.
