Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II on the 2nd shift to work at a premier manufacturing client in Lowell, MA. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate and a stable schedule.

You will develop inspection methods, assist engineers with IQ/OQ/PQ activities, collect and analyze data, and support calibration, environmental monitoring, and CAPA investigations while contributing to continuous improvement and stringent quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Experience using microscopes is required.
  • Detail-oriented and able to complete reports.
  • Proficient with laptops and technology.
  • Committed to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Available to work 2nd shift (3:30 PM–1:30 AM).

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in developing and maintaining quality engineering methodologies within new product development, manufacturing, and quality systems.
  • Support qualification and validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) under the guidance of Quality Engineers.
  • Compile and analyze statistical data to assess process capabilities and control processes.
  • Develop inspection test methods and draft inspection procedures with oversight.
  • Manage calibration for new and existing equipment, including supplier management and out-of-tolerance reporting.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring, collect samples, test, enter, and trend results.
  • Support nonconforming material reporting process, including root cause analysis and disposition recommendations.
  • Reviewing and approving inspection and device history records.
  • Assist with CAPA investigations and corrective actions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, Gemba walks, and 5S activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company, quality, and safety standards and policies.

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM

What’s a typical day as Quality Control Inspector I? You’ll be:

Requirements
  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Possess strong English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing required)
  • Have experience working with microscopes (required)
  • Are detail-oriented and comfortable completing reports as needed
  • Are proficient with laptop computers and technology
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Are available to work the 2nd Shift schedule as outlined
