Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Quality Control Inspector II.

What You Will Do:

As the Quality Control Inspector II, responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

  • Perform diversified granite rock or bench inspections on a variety of standard or custom aerospace parts, products, assemblies, or raw materials used in manufacturing.
  • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments, including electronic devices.
  • Read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and customer documents.
  • Inspect products to verify correct color, finish, dimensions, hardness, density, or other measurable or observable characteristics.
  • Perform detailed first article inspections following full assembly installation.
  • Recommend, write, or modify sampling and inspection procedures.
  • Use statistical tools to chart variance.
  • Work with internal inspectors and operations personnel to ensure products meet customer requirements.
  • Support cross-functional teams in quality improvement projects focusing on process improvements, scrap reduction, and supplier quality improvement.
About You:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Three or more years of relevant industry experience.
  • Able to interpret aerospace blueprints and GD&T blueprints.
  • Able to read and understand work documentation in English.
  • Proficient in PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite applications).
  • Familiar with first piece inspection, GD&T, operating a CMM, and mechanical inspection/surface plate layout.
  • Self-motivated individual requiring minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 audit process.
  • Experience operating a CMM and mechanical inspection/surface plate layout.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
