Job summary

United Engineering & Consulting (UEC) in Columbia, SC is seeking a mid-level Quality Control Inspector to support highway and bridge construction projects. You will verify materials and completed work meet project requirements while collaborating with contractors, engineers, and project teams on site.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, on-site testing, preparing inspection reports, and ensuring CQMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of construction inspection experience.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with computers and tablets, including iPads, for reporting.
• Valid state driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections and assist with highway/bridge construction projects.
• Read and interpret construction plans and project requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain organized records per CQMP.
• Identify and communicate deficiencies and quality concerns to the QC Manager.
• Coordinate QC procedures and inspection activities with project team.
