Job summary

Sunset is hiring a Quality Control Inspector to support the QC Inspection Supervisor in daily tasks and ensure products meet specifications. You will work across shipping, receiving, and production areas, addressing non-conformances and assisting with labeling and inspections.

Required is a 1-year college degree or 6 months related experience; proficiency in English; MS Office skills; and the ability to read measuring devices. Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus.

Qualifications

• One year college degree or six months related experience.
• Experience in produce industry preferred.
• Must pass drug test and background check.
• Proficient in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to read measuring devices (scales, calipers, ruler).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all product meets or exceeds customer specifications.
• Assist in inspections, labeling, and non-conforming product handling.
• Travel between shipping, receiving, and production as needed.
• Report exceptions to customer specs to supervisor.
• Send Quality Issues emails for non-compliant product.
• Oversee floor operations when supervisor is unavailable.
• Remember rejection trends to prevent repeat issues.
• Ensure packaging presents well for customers.
• Perform other QC tasks or projects as required.
