Job Description
Shift: 6am – 2:30pm (1st Shift) / 2:30 pm – 11 pm PST (2nd shift)
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Able to use an optical microscope for extended visual inspections.
- Perform visual inspections with the unaided eye from 12-18 inches, using corrected vision if necessary.
- Operate automated/manual equipment requiring correctable vision, including discrimination tasks.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using rulers and measurement tools, following inspection instructions.
- Handle production equipment, small hand tools, test equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Record dimensional data accurately on paper forms.
- Determine reject disposition based on inspection guidelines.
- Sit for extended periods and work in a low-particle, cleanroom environment, adhering to gowning and room requirements.
- Work with minor exposure to chemicals like isopropyl alcohol.
- Perform fine motor tasks with manual dexterity using both hands.
- Demonstrate product assembly techniques and process knowledge, validated by supervisors.
- Maintain regular attendance and perform overtime as scheduled, not exceeding 60 hours per week.
- Multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Desired Experience:
- Experience with assembly and inspection of Class III implantable or Class II medical devices, or micro-electronics.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant medical device or related experience.
- Experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and inspection instructions.
- Proficiency with small hand tools and good eye-hand coordination.
- Ability to work independently within a team.
- Strong communication, organizational, and basic math skills.
Education:
High School Diploma / GED
