Job Title: Inspector

Job Purpose

The Inspector maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, recording quality results.

Duties of Inspector

1. Approves in-process and finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests.
2. Works from purchase orders, special process certifications, operation sheets, blueprints, and other specifications to ensure all parts and materials are in full compliance.
3. Performs complex dimensional layout inspections according to operation sheets/blueprints.
4. Completes Inspection Method Sheets and verifies special process certifications to meet part specifications.
5. Performs 1st piece/FAI inspections. Knowledge of Inspection Xpert/Net-Inspect is a plus.

Aerospace Inspector Skills/Qualifications

• Layout experience is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience as an inspector in aerospace or a similar industry.
• Analyzing manufacturing methods and procedures.
• GD&T skills are highly emphasized.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, analytical skills, shop math skills, and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
