Job summary

Jamco America Inc in Everett, WA is seeking a Quality Inspector 2 to assure product quality through receiving, first article and in-process inspections and by evaluating finished products.

You will interpret engineering drawings, select test points, document data, and work with management to meet quality standards; experience with FARO Arm, CMM and Polyworks is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1-2 years related experience.
• Experience with FARO Arm, CMM and Polyworks is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficient user of computer and Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, schematics, and formulas to determine quality standards.
• Select products for tests and evaluate dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
• Document inspection data and update quality databases.

Salary Range: $27.00 To $34.62 Hourly

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary

Assures quality products by conducting receiving inspections, first article, and in process inspections; evaluating finished product by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following with other duties as assigned:

• Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
• Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and test products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
• Documents finished product status by recording and summarizing raw materials, in-process, and finished-product inspection and physical test data; updates quality data base.
• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, FARO Arm experience. CMM and, Polyworks experience is a plus.

Language Skill

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
