Job summary

NIKA is hiring a Quality Control Inspector to support the US Coast Guard Base in Kodiak, Alaska. The role is onsite and requires ensuring compliance with Government requirements and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of quality control experience in construction and familiarity with federal regulations (FARS/DFARS) and building codes. A DoD security clearance is required, and US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of documented experience in quality control of construction and/or maintenance of building equipment.
• Experience with FARS, DFARS, and other federal regulatory guidance, laws, and requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
• Must be US Citizen
• Must be eligible to obtain security clearance

Responsibilities

• Monitor contract work to assure compliance with Government requirements.
• Track construction deficiencies from identification through acceptable corrective action.
• Report progress in the QC reports and submit to the Government.
• Supervise all Special Inspectors required by the contract documents and the International Building Code (IBC).
• Knowledge of and commitment to safety.
• Provide written daily reports on construction activities.
• Familiar with current building codes and inspection requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:
