NIKA is hiring for a Project Management/Construction Management Support to back our client at Naval Medical Center San Diego (Balboa), CA. The role is contingent upon contract award and requires US citizenship with the ability to obtain security clearance.

The position includes scheduling, progress reviews, on-site inspections for health, safety and contract compliance, QA oversight, and closeout documentation.

Qualifications

Job Description

• Project Management: work scheduling, production control, progress/submittal reviews, coordination of ongoing Minor/Major Projects; weekly status reports
• Construction Management: monitor/inspect projects for contract and health/safety compliance; conduct DAILY inspections of active Infection Control Containments; assess NMCSD Work Permit Program compliance (no certification required); submit inspection reports within 48 hours; report Life Safety findings immediately
• QA/Project Oversight: review projects for milestone/deliverable compliance; coordinate crew start/end times, work plans, constructability, phasing, infection control and safety; assist contractors with base access; manage project closeout (documentation, keys, spare parts, O&M manuals, record drawings, equipment labeling, signage); weekly QA/oversight reports
• Attend meetings and conduct site visits as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a construction or engineering field, OR 8 years of construction/engineering experience
• MUST be US citizen and have ability to obtain security clearance
