Job summary

NIKA is hiring a Mid Environmental Professional/Scientist to support the VA Healthcare Environmental and Facilities Program (HEFP). The role is contingent upon contract award and will provide support to various VA locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental sciences, engineering, business management, safety, or related field.
  • Industry and professional certifications are preferred (e.g., CPEA, CHMM, P.E.).
  • MUST be US citizen and have ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Applies knowledge of environmental principles and practices to assignments and related fields.
  • Develops and reviews regulatory requirements/guidance for various scenarios and sampling/analysis results; determines applicability and necessary actions.
  • Has the ability to quickly and without significant notice develop plans and permits as needed.
  • Acts as technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters.
