Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 w/ experience

Hours: 3rd shift: 11:45pm - 8:15am OT as needed, must be flexible with hours

Position Type: Contract to hire

Location: Elgin, IL

Requirements: Resume & Interview

Job Duties:

• Conduct start-up inspection, in-process inspection, and final audit approvals based on engineering drawings, instructions, and company specifications.
• Maintain required quality records (Inspection Reports, nonconforming material documents, etc.).
• Perform capability studies and maintain statistical control charts.
• Assist in facilitation of corrective actions and isolate suspect materials, attaching appropriate identifying tags or documents.
• Conduct shift change meetings to address quality and production issues.

Quality Responsibilities:

• Assist and train all hourly personnel in dimensional measurement and visual criteria.
• Help operators implement statistical control charts.
• Participate in quality activities and join quality improvement teams.
• Complete all required quality training and submit quality improvement ideas.
• Inspect products at assigned workstations, report nonconformances, and quarantine non-conforming products.
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure nonconforming materials are properly identified and isolated.

Qualification Requirements:

• Understanding of engineering prints/specifications and ability to use measurement devices.
• Basic knowledge of quality assurance principles.
• Proficiency in basic math, writing, reading, and Excel.
• High school diploma and at least one year of inspection experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
