Job Title:

Fire Alarm System Inspector

Salary Range:

$74,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year

Job Summary:

As a fire alarm system inspector, you will be responsible for completing service requests at various locations within your territory. We seek licensed Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspectors to inspect and test fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet NFPA standards. You will also adjust or repair malfunctioning systems and perform basic sprinkler inspections. We are looking for dependable, self-starting individuals with a positive attitude to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

1. Schedule fire alarm and fire sprinkler system inspections.
2. Run tests and inspections on fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
3. Coordinate with local fire departments to avoid response during testing.
4. Repair systems if necessary or inform the Service Department of customer needs.
5. Advise customers of test and inspection results.
6. Maintain excellent communication with your Area Coordinator regarding inspections, rescheduling, etc.
7. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, demonstrating good interpersonal skills.

Position Details:

• Full-time, 40+ hours weekly.
• Responsible for meeting service calls efficiently.
• Identify emergencies and respond promptly to support customers.
• Use geographical tools like maps and Google Maps for scheduling.

Customer Service Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming calls from customers and office staff.
• Keep thorough documentation of service calls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Apple iPad.
• Ability to work weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and be flexible.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. and use an 8-ft ladder.
• Electrical/low voltage certification or construction background is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Travel required, primarily remote work.
