Job summary

INX International Ink Co. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician for our Ink Lab. You will perform quality control testing on production batches of inks and coatings, enter results into SAP, and maintain accurate quality records while supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, color vision, MS Office proficiency, and 6–12 months of lab/QC experience. Overtime coverage and standing for long periods are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Performing quality control testing of production batches of inks and coatings.
  • Entering results into SAP; printing labels and filing documents.
  • Maintaining 5S practices and accurate quality records in SAP.
  • Performing color quality tests; making batch adjustments as needed.
  • Calibrating and verifying test equipment.
  • Investigating non-conforming batches (internal and external).
  • Supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Managing sample retention and assisting with customer proofing.

Job Description

Are you detail-oriented and enjoy putting out a high-quality product? We are seeking a Quality Control Technician for our Ink Lab. As a Quality Control Tech, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing quality control testing of production batches of inks and coatings
  • Completing associated clerical work (entering results into SAP, printing labels, filing, etc.)
  • Performing 5S cleaning and maintaining the area
  • Establishing and maintainingaccurate and complete quality records in SAP
  • Performing color quality tests; making batch additions and adjustments
  • Implementing necessary and timely batch corrections directly to Production
  • Calibratingand verifyingtest equipment
  • Investigatingand analyzingnon-conforming batches (internal and external)
  • SupportingLean Manufacturing
  • Ensuring sample retention management
  • Performing some customer proofing
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Be able to pass a color vision test
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skills
  • Beflexible to cover other shifts if needed
  • Have excellent verbal, written, reading comprehension and good math skills
  • Have 6 to12 months previous Lab/QC related work experience
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

  • An understanding of manufacturing operations and basic aspects of printing technologies
  • Experience working in a high volume department
  • Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing facility
  • Trade or Tech school
  • Availability and willingness to work overtime as needed
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Previous experience in the ink industry
