Job summary

INX International Ink Co. is seeking an Inplant Ink Technician to work at a customer's site.

You will maintain INX's on-site ink room and act as the liaison between INX and the customer, handling color matching, ink production and dispensing. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, color vision, strong customer service and communication skills, and 2–5 years of related experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP or X-Rite IQC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain INX's on-site ink room and strong customer relationships.
• Review scheduling and coordinate jobs with the customer.
• Provide service calls as needed and perform color matching, ink production and dispensing.
• Perform quality control tests on batches and maintain safety compliance.
• Inventory management and monthly counts; data entry and reporting.
• Prepare job estimates and provide press-side technical support.
• Manufacture batches under 100 pounds.

Job Description

We are seeking anInplant Ink Technicianto work at our customer's site. The technician will serve as a liaison between INX and the customer and will be responsible for maintaining INX's on-site ink room. As an Inplant Tech you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining INX's excellent relationship with the customer
• Reviewing scheduling and coordinatingjobs with customer
• Being available for service call-ins as needed
• Performing technical service, color matching,ink production and dispensing ink
• Evaluatingproduction requirements based on customer schedule changes
• Controlling Work-off
• Inventory management and monthly consignment counts
• Performing job estimates
• Providingpress-side technical support
• Completingmonthly reports
• Performing Quality Control tests on incoming and site-manufactured batches
• Following all safety requirements
• Data entry accuracy
• Manufacturingbatches under 100 pounds

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

• Have a High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
• Be able to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Effectively communicate with peers and customers
• Have excellent written, reading comprehension andmath skills
• Demonstrate proficient with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
• Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Have good organization skills
• 2 to 5 years of work relatedexperience

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

• Spectrophotometer knowledge & experience helpful
• Technically qualified to service Offset Sheetfed products
• Familiar with X-Rite IQC
• Flexible packaging knowledge
• Flexographic printing knowledge
• Solvent ink knowledge
• Previous lab, inplant, and warehouse experience
• SAP Knowledge
• Inplant pressroom experience
• College degree
