Job summary

SPS Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Field Coordinator to support QA and Lean initiatives on site. You will help ensure project standards, assist superintendents, and coordinate with the GC QC team to maintain quality throughout installation.

The role requires strong leadership, detailed knowledge of glazing systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with field teams while adhering to safety rules and building codes.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of construction experience including supervisory roles in commercial glazing or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial glazing and panel installation practices, equipment and tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, reports, scheduling and job costing.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulation and quality control standards.
  • OSHA 30 Construction Industry certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support on-site QA/QC and Lean initiatives to ensure project standards.
  • Assist superintendents with day-to-day activities when needed.
  • Communicate with GC quality control and attend QC meetings.
  • Ensure materials are anchored, fastened, and aligned for water-tight installations.
  • Report discrepancies and issues to the field installation team promptly.
  • Strictly follow safety regulations and wear PPE.
  • Check installations for square, level, and plumb conditions.
  • Create daily or weekly QA/QC forms.

Position Overview

The Quality Control Field Coordinator on site is responsible for supporting quality assurance and Lean initiatives at the assigned jobsite The role ensures that project standards are met and continuous improvement practices are implemented effectively on site

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates knowledge of installation methods including but not limited to installation of exterior specialty metal glass panel systems ACM & IMP panels Single Skin & Cement Panels Louvers and screen wall systems
  • Assist superintendents while onsite with day to day activities when needed
  • Communicate with GC quality control person and attend QC meetings when required
  • Understanding of manufactures installation requirements
  • Understanding of job specifications and divisions
  • Ensure all materials are securely anchored fastened and aligned ensuring water tight and structurally sound installations
  • Communicate with the field installation team and report any observed discrepancies changes and problems immediately
  • Strictly follow all safety and quality regulations and always wear appropriate PPE
  • Check all installations for Square Level and Plumb conditions
  • Createfill required daily or weekly QAQC forms
Requirements
  • 4 7 years of construction experience including supervisory or superintendent roles in commercial glazing or a related field

  • Strong understanding of construction documents reports project scheduling and job costing
  • Familiarity with applicable building codes safety regulation and quality control standards and various other electronic devices
  • OSHA 30 Construction Industry certification preferred
  • Strong leadership problem solving and communication skills
  • Complete understanding of Company Safety Health and Management Program
Physical Demands

Ability to sit stand walk stoop kneel crouch crawl and climb for extended periods The incumbent will occasionally be required to lift but not limited to 50 lbs The incumbent will be exposed to the loud noise of construction equipment and traffic The incumbent will also be exposed to the following conditions while on the job site Work near moving mechanical parts Work in high precarious places Fumes or airborne particles Outdoor weather conditions Extreme cold non weather Extreme heat non weather Risk of electrical shock Vibration

Environment Working Conditions
