Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to support the Quality Manager and Director of Quality Control on projects in Hermiston/Umatilla, OR. The role will perform inspections, review subcontractors, and verify product conformance to specifications and codes while applying Balfour Standard Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities include conducting field inspections, supporting corrective actions, and promoting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 4–7 years of construction experience in supervising or inspecting activities.
• Industry-related certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency with PCs and standard software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Manager and Director of Quality Control in project quality activities.
• Review subcontractors’ work for compliance with specifications, codes and contract requirements.
• Conduct inspections, testing and product verification.
• Provide technical support to project management and field teams.
• Support corrective and preventive actions and track performance against goals.
• Participate in project reviews and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
