Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a Quality Control Engineer in Hermiston/Umatilla, OR to support the Quality Manager and Director of Quality Control. The role focuses on ensuring product quality, compliance with specifications, codes, and client expectations, and applying Balfour SOPs on construction projects.

The engineer will conduct inspections, review subcontractors, provide technical support to project teams, and drive continuous improvement while communicating quality information across teams

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–7 years construction QA experience or 8+ years in related supervision/inspection.
• Certifications in relevant industry standards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform in-process inspections and communicate results.

Responsibilities

• Support quality management procedures at the project level.
• Review subcontractors' work for compliance with specs and codes.
• Conduct inspections, testing and product verification.
• Provide technical support to project team and QC leadership.
• Support corrective/preventive actions and track results.
• Identify issues and drive root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Contribute to project reviews and lessons learned.
