Job summary

Permobil is seeking a Quality Control Clerk to ensure product quality by correctly assembling boxes and accessories, verifying labels, and conducting final inspections. The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality product by running correct boxes and accessories.
• Maintain the label printer and etching program for the product being run.
• Pull and scan correct covers, verify labels, and complete final product acceptance.
• Maintain scrap/inventory reports and communicate levels to management.
• Follow safety and quality policies and ensure traceability in documentation.

Your Role in Our Mission

Job Purpose: To maintain a high-qualityproduct by accurately running product boxes and accessories, etch productwith the correct etching program, pulling and scanning cover, verifyinglabels and accessories, and final acceptance of product.

Maintains quality product by: Running correct boxes and accessories. Ensuring inventory is at acceptablelevels. Maintaining the labelprinter. Ensure proper etching programis in use for the product being run. Pulling and scanning correct covers, verifying labels, and completingfinal acceptance of product.

Manages inventory by: Maintain scrap report of packaging materials andaccessories. Reporting cover andaccessory level to ATL or manager.

Maintains product records by: Maintains scrap report. Verify the labels are correct and theproduct is ready for final acceptance. Completes work order for the appropriate step in the process. Follows good manufacturing documentationpractices.

Supports operations by: Communicating with Inventory and Packaging teams tokeep operations efficient, segregating incomplete packaging products, anddiagnosing packaging product failures to allow for reporting and trendanalysis.

Maintains safe and clean workenvironment by: Operating all machinery in a safe and efficientmanner; reporting any safety hazards to assigned supervisor or safetymanager; complying with all safety and quality policies, practices, andprocedures.

Maintain quality service by: Keepingerror rates minimal and within acceptable ranges; maintaining an efficientwork pace, meeting and exceeding all performance measurements: quantity,accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed.

Contributes to team effort by: Filling in for other QA department job duties asnecessary, maintaining a good attendance record, accomplishing relatedresults as needed.

Maintains technical knowledge by: Attending educationalworkshops, and training.

Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.

Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

HighSchool diploma or GED preferred or 0+ years previous relevant experience.

Ability to read and interpretdocuments such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, andprocedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability toeffectively present information one on one and small group situations tocustomers, clients, and/or other employees of the organization. Ability torecognize similarities and differences between series of numbers.

Ability to apply common senseunderstanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, ordiagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concretevariables in standardized situations.

Basic personal computer skills.(Turn computer on and run one or two programs that are company specific andonly require data entry skills)

Planning/Organization: Prioritize tasks. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Narrowaisle training; pallet jack training

Promptness and good attendance areessential to the smooth function of this position and department; ability todevelop and maintain working relationships with coworkers; ability to defineand solve minor problems within one’s own work and with coworkers.

Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this role is $17.00 – $17.50 per hour . Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
