Job summary

Permobil is seeking an Incoming Quality Inspector in Lebanon to perform inspections of wheelchair frames and components, ensuring compliance with quality standards. This full-time, first shift role offers $22.00–$24.00 per hour and a schedule of Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed.

You will document results, support process improvements, and work with production, engineering and quality teams to maintain high quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
  • 2+ years in quality control or manufacturing inspection preferred.
  • Ability to read measurements and drawings.
  • Proficiency in English (written and oral).

  • Pay Range: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
  • Shift: 1st Shift
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm (overtime may be required based on business needs)

Your Role in Our Mission
  • Job Family Summary: As a member of global quality, team members will ensure that the quality management system is and remains compliant with current regulatory and international standards requirements. Team member will also help drive improvements within the quality management system which support the organizations business goals.
  • Job Summary: The Inspector Quality Assurance performs procedures include the evaluation of raw materials, in-process components, finished products, and equipment quality control to ensure a quality product.
  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
  • Perform inspections, checks, and tests on wheelchair frames, wheelchair components, and finished wheelchairs, based on defined criteria, using standard physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements.
  • Accept or reject finished products and/or components based on predetermined inspection criteria.
  • Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audits standards.
  • Accurately document inspection and testing results.
  • Maintain controlled document files and test records in timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
  • Participate in construction and/or revision of inspection procedures.
  • Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action.
  • Work with production team, engineering team, and quality control team to provide feedback to fabricators and assemblers regarding production procedures.
  • Review device history records and other documentation for compliance with established procedures.
  • Perform detailed and accurate counting and mathematical calculations.
  • Follow directions, procedures, and instructions for all work assignments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and awareness of surroundings.
  • Work independently and with others in a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Support all quality, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time.
  • Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.
  • Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.
Physical Demands
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly, on and off inspection tables, throughout 8+ hour shift.
  • Stand, move around the warehouse, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity: ability to see dine details of objects.
  • Work at computer and data entry for extended periods; frequent finger and wrist manipulation.
What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional vocational or technical training preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, manufacturing inspection, production testing, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read, interpret, and apply measurements using standard inspection and measuring tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers, gauges, micrometers), and understand dimensional specifications and tolerances.
  • Ability to learn through on-the-job training and apply quality standards in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in the English Language (written and oral).
  • Strong communication, reading, counting, and math skills.
  • Basic MS Office skills desired (Outlook, Word, Excel); SharePoint and PowerBI knowledge a plus.
  • Working knowledge of measuring instruments.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and perform accurate work.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset.
Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this role is $22.00 – $24.00 per hour . Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
