Job summary

Yoh is hiring a Quality Control Chemist for our personal care client in St. Louis, Missouri. This role prioritizes daily sample testing and performs a variety of laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process, and finished batches.

Review compounding and laboratory records for accuracy and completeness; investigate customer complaints and OOS/OOT results, implementing corrective actions as determined by QC supervision. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply!

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Chemistry or related science
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and GMP practices

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analysis on incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using wet chemistry, GC & HPLC
• Prepare samples for chromatographic analysis
• Review compounding and laboratory records for accuracy and completeness
• Investigate customer complaints, OOS/OOT results and implement corrective actions
• Be proficient in routine GC and HPLC analysis
• Maintain housekeeping and document deviations as required by QC procedures
• Coordinate information flow within the laboratory and to internal customers
• Input and retrieve information from QC computer systems
• Dispostion of materials and finished products for use or sale
• Work with minimal supervision and re-prioritize workloads as needed
• Ensure compliance with GMP and documentation standards

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

• Perform laboratory analysis on incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products per established procedures, including wet chemistry, GC & HPLC.
• Prepare samples for chromatographic analysis.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Coordinate information flow within the laboratory and to internal customers.
• Access, input, and retrieve information from the QC computer systems.
• Disposition of raw materials, processsamplesand finished products for use or sale.
• Be thoroughly versed in GMP regulations and ensure that all laboratory documentation meets standards for completeness and accuracy.
• Document deviations in performance notanticipatedor indicated in test procedures.
• Be or become thoroughly familiar with QC and manufacturing process andworkflow,QCretainprogram and documentation procedures.
• Work with minimal supervision, re-prioritizing work schedules quickly.
• Be proficient in performing routine GC and HPLC analysis.

Education Requirements

• Requires BS/BA degree in Chemistry or related science and thorough understanding of FDA regulations.
• Working knowledge of laboratory and/or test procedures.

Estimated Min Rate $22.00

Estimated Max Rate $24.00
