Job summary

Golden Aluminum in Fort Lupton, CO is seeking a senior quality/process engineer to develop and maintain all QA standards, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance and driving continuous improvement. You will lead investigations, KPI development, and audits, shaping product quality across the production line.

You will mentor supervisors, implement corrective actions, and manage internal audits with a focus on reducing defects and costs while supporting new product introductions.

Qualifications

• BS in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering required.
• 5+ years direct experience as a quality and/or process engineer in manufacturing; metals preferred.
• 2+ years experience leading a team of professionals.
• Six Sigma/Lean experience required; Greenbelt certification required; Blackbelt preferred.
• Proven track record of managing projects in an industrial environment.
• Experience implementing statistical and process control tools in production.

Responsibilities

• Investigate customer complaints; collaborate with management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
• Train line supervisors and operators on changes in procedures to improve product quality.
• Develop and implement KPIs to support productivity and cost initiatives.
• Maintain the QA manual and procedures to satisfy ISO 9001.
• Manage the internal audit program.
• Identify deficiencies in the QA program and present plans to address them.
• Develop quality specifications for raw materials, vendor parts, and finished products.
• Oversee root cause analysis for defects and process variation.
• Initiate preventive measures in manufacturing when issues identified.
• Oversee daily task assignments and ensure schedule compliance.
• Review and approve revisions to internal procedures to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
