Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a Quality Containment Coordinator / Quality Supervisor to oversee containment and quality activities in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will lead small teams on the shop floor, perform dimensional inspections, and coordinate rework to meet specifications.

The role requires strong mechanical/technical background, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills. You must be flexible for overtime, weekends, and varying shifts to support production needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in quality, inspection, rework, or containment.
• Strong technical and mechanical background.
• Hands-on involvement with dimensional inspection and measurement.
• Experience with quality processes and containment operations.
• Ability to travel as required and work overtime weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily quality inspection and containment activities.
• Support mechanical rework and repair operations to meet specifications.
• Perform and supervise dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Communicate with customers, supervisors, inspectors, and team members to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain quality records, reports, and inspection results.
• Assist with site launches, including setup, training, and process validation.
• Provide direction to small teams to meet project and quality goals.
• Identify quality concerns and assist with corrective actions.
• Help ensure containment and rework processes are completed accurately.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
• Remain flexible to support production demands, including overtime and varying hours.
