Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a Project Coordinator to oversee quality containment and mechanical rework projects on the manufacturing floor. The role involves coordinating small teams, ensuring adherence to specifications, and maintaining meticulous inspection records.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, highly organized, and able to communicate with customers, supervisors, inspectors, and production teams. Shift options include first and second shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quality, containment, or quality supervision/leadership.
• Mechanical rework or manufacturing experience required.
• Experience coordinating quality or containment activities.
• Experience working with small teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily quality containment and inspection activities.
• Support mechanical rework operations and ensure work meets specifications.
• Provide direction to small teams to keep projects on schedule.
• Communicate with customers, supervisors, inspectors, and production personnel.
• Identify quality issues and troubleshoot problems; document results accurately.
• Maintain reports and project documentation; assist with site launches.
• Monitor progress and ensure customer and quality requirements are met.
• Support process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Work overtime, weekends, and varying hours as needed.
• Travel to other sites or project locations as required.
