Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a Quality Containment Coordinator / Quality Supervisor to oversee quality and containment activities on the production floor. The role is hands-on, requiring a strong mechanical background and leadership to guide small teams, ensure conformance to specifications, and drive continuous improvement.

You will perform dimensional inspections, support rework, maintain quality records, participate in site launches, and adapt to production needs, including overtime and weekend

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a quality, inspection, rework, or containment environment.
• Strong technical and mechanical background.
• Hands-on experience with dimensional inspection and precision measurement.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, height gauges.
• Mechanical and/or rework experience required.
• Strong understanding of quality processes, inspection methods, and containment operations.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel as required and to work overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily quality inspection and containment activities.
• Support mechanical rework and repair operations while ensuring work meets specifications.
• Perform and/or oversee detailed dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Communicate with customers, supervisors, inspectors, and team members to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain accurate quality records, reports, project documentation, and inspection results.
• Assist with site launches, including setup, training, and process validation.
• Provide direction, guidance, and support to small teams to meet project and quality goals.
• Identify quality concerns and assist with problem-solving and corrective actions.
• Help ensure containment and rework processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
• Remain flexible to support production demands, including overtime, weekends, and varying work hours.
