Job summary

Novolex in Florence, KY is hiring a Quality & Compliance Technician to ensure products meet customer specs and safety standards, performing QA testing, audits, and compliance tasks in a fast-paced facility. You will need at least two years of production, quality, or safety experience, strong Excel skills and the ability to lead meetings with staff. Day shift: 7am–7pm.

Qualifications

• Two years of production, quality or safety experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Reading, writing and basic math skills and knowledge of quality standards.
• Must be computer literate and be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Must be able to effectively lead meetings with employees and management.
• Self-managing with organization, time management, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures.
• Keep work area clean and organized, per 5S standards.
• Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures.
• Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc.
• Ensure all corporate and plant safety policies and procedures are being followed, escalate to the supervisor if not.
• Reporting and documenting any quality issues to machine operator, supervisors, and upper plant management.
• Perform and document required Mobile Inspections.
• Using Microsoft Excel, prepare reports and document test and audit results.
