Job summary

Novolex is hiring a Quality Control Technician in Franklin Park, IL. The role focuses on GMP adherence, product specification review, and daily QC inspections across thermoforming and extrusion processes.

You will maintain documentation, support training, and participate in shift summaries and cross-training to ensure product safety and quality. This position requires standing for long periods and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate team spirit and willingness to be trained.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Good computer skills: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Technicians must be able to learn to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP and safety rules.
• Review Product Specification Sheets and maintain specification spreadsheets.
• Perform measurements and tests per specification sheets; enter data and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate holding of out-of-spec products and returns with Shipping Team Leads.
• Explain Product Traceability Components.
• Perform daily inspections of thermoforming and extrusion production; verify correct order and inspection sheet quality.
• Maintain and update logs (Extrusion Hold Log) and conduct gauge/instrument calibrations.
• Attend daily Tier I meetings and prepare shift summaries.
• Assist with training and cross-training of QC technicians.
• Ensure compliance with BRC requirements.
