Job description

Description

The Quality Civil Inspector's main responsibility is to inspect, accept, or reject work performed in a particular discipline in compliance with applicable Codes and specifications. Preferred discipline is civil, however, structural, electrical, mechanical, or piping may be considered.

Essential Functions
  1. Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
  2. Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
  3. Provide specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, and quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
  4. Create inspection reports to document work conditions and ensure requirements are met. Make recommendations for corrective actions.
  5. Apply knowledge of quality systems and tools to verify standards for project execution, using performance evaluation and prediction methods to improve product safety, reliability, and maintainability.
  6. Maintain quality standards of products, procedures, and materials within the work scope, aligning quality management with performance needs.
  7. Perform assignments under general and occasional direct supervision, utilizing standard procedures and developing advanced skills.
  8. Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a specific craft or under a formal Quality Management System.
  • 3 years' civil experience preferred.
  • ACI certification preferred; other discipline-specific inspections (e.g., AWS CWI, ASNT Level II, NACE) may be considered.
  • Familiarity with ASME Sec. VIII, Sec. IX, B31.1, B31.3, API 650/653, 1104 Codes.
  • Strong understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
