Job summary

PG&E in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Quality Operations Specialist to lead corrective action investigations and drive process improvements. You will implement causal evaluation methods, analyze adverse trends and collaborate across departments to strengthen quality assurance and prevent recurrence.

The role requires up to 30% travel, a strong compliance mindset, and a track record of improving business processes. Hybrid work arrangement is available, with work location in PG&E service territory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years of progressive experience in utility operations or in other highly regulated industry.
• Experience with causal evaluation methods and investigations in the utility industry.
• Position will require up to approximately 30% travel time.

Responsibilities

• Leads CAP investigations and analyses
• Works collaboratively with stakeholders on moderate to complex investigations and facilitates agreement on the causes of issues.
• Verifies corrective actions are implemented and validates effectiveness to prevent recurrence
• Leads teams to perform business process analysis
• Participates in business process reengineering
• Review failure data, perform trend analysis, and make recommendations to improve system performance
• Recommends process improvements for monitoring, executing and reporting
• Provides quality recommendations by evaluating and reviewing processes in lines of businesses or departments
• Promotes performance improvement
• May coach less experienced team members
