Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Quality Auditor for its Athens, GA facility to support manufacturing quality controls. You will perform inspections at gates and pre-delivery points, document issues, and ensure compliance with specifications.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing and quality inspection experience, proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and familiarity with SAP. Overtime on short notice is required; 1st shift with a starting wage of $20.55/hour and a full benefits package is

Qualifications

Manufacturing experience required.
Experience with quality inspection processes.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP preferred.
Experience using measurement equipment and gauges.
Heavy equipment assembly experience with tractors or excavators is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform quality inspection based on the checklist of inspection points/procedures.
Complete inspections using a checklist and tooling provided (static tools, dry leak testing, Cab electrical tests, templates, etc.).
Perform overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.
Use lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35lbs.
Inspect products to ensure it meets the specifications.
Gather data from various tools and tooling systems and document quality issues into a computer system and flag defects for repair.
