Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Quality Auditor for its Athens, GA facility to support manufacturing quality controls. You will perform inspections at gates and pre-delivery points, document issues, and ensure compliance with specifications.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing and quality inspection experience, proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and familiarity with SAP. Overtime on short notice is required; 1st shift with a starting wage of $20.55/hour and a full benefits package is

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience required.
• Experience with quality inspection processes.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP preferred.
• Experience using measurement equipment and gauges.
• Heavy equipment assembly experience with tractors or excavators is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspection based on the checklist of inspection points/procedures.
• Complete inspections using a checklist and tooling provided (static tools, dry leak testing, Cab electrical tests, templates, etc.).
• Perform overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.
• Use lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35lbs.
• Inspect products to ensure it meets the specifications.
• Gather data from various tools and tooling systems and document quality issues into a computer system and flag defects for repair.

As a Quality Auditor at Caterpillar, you will:

Basic Qualifications:

• Manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Willing and able to stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
• Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Willing and able to pass eye exam for visual weld inspection

Top candidates will also have:

• Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Intermediate proficiency in SAP software
• Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with inspection and product auditing processes
• Intermediate proficiency with measurement equipment and gages
• Heavy equipment machine assembly experience with tractors or excavators

Monday-Friday, 7:00AM- 3:10pm

Summary Pay Range:

$20.55 - $25.65
